硫黄泉あれこれ

奥日光湯元温泉は「日本で四番目に濃い硫黄泉」と言われていますが、濃い分、強い腐食効果もあります。

金属を身につけて温泉に入ると黒く腐食しますので、指輪やネックレスなどのアクセサリーは必ず外してからご入浴下さい。

また、空気中に含まれる硫黄成分も濃く、金属を腐食させる程です。お部屋の水道の蛇口や配管が黒く汚れて見えるのは汚れではなく、硫黄成分による腐食です。家電製品への影響も大きく、お部屋のテレビも１年～１年半で使えなくなります。
