Kagawa people traditionally eat "Anmochi-zouni," bean-jam rice cake in Shiro-miso (white bean paste) soup on New Year's Day. This cuisine may be unbelievable for people in other prefectures, but everyone in Kagawa loves it. Back in the day when sugar was a luxury item, people at that time took up the custom of eating luxurious bean-jam rice cakes at least once a year, on New Year's day. At Kyukamura Sanuki-goshikidai, we prepare Anmochi-zouni for dinner buffet every day. Try and enjoy the marriage of salty and tasty soup and sweet bean-jam rice cake.
