Azuchi Nobunaga Festival is held on the first Sunday of June every year, as the anniversary of the death of Lord Nobunaga Oda (June 2th).

The highlight is the Musha Gyoretsu, a samurai procession, by no less than 500 men marching around the Azuchi-jo castle town. Men dressed up as Lords Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, Ieyasu and other samurais parade through Azuchi-jo castle town, and it evokes us the image of the lively Azuchi town in era of Lord Nobunaga.

There are also many events, for example, Azuchi Rakuichi (a market of local products), Azuchi-jo castle moat cruising by a hand rowing Japanese boat and admission-free observation of Azuchi-jo castle.

Open: From 10:00 to 16:00 on June 7, 2015 (Sun.)
Place: Central urban area of Azuchi town
