Experience the breathtaking panorama and the sea of clouds on top of the Amihari lookout lifts
In June, when Mt. Iwate is drenched in fresh green, the Amihari lookout lifts start its summer operation. The lifts are popular to guests who climb Mt. Iwate or Mt. Mitsuishi or just want to enjoy a picnic in this spectacular scenery. The open-air lifts with an elevation gain of 1100m give you an incomparable feeling of freedom. On the top station, you can not only embrace the stunning mountain panorama but also get to see the steaming holes that form the source of the Amihari hot springs. My personal favorite sight is the superb view of the sea of clouds that often sits below the top station of the lifts.
