About Aizu-wakamatsu

It is the center of the Aizu area, which prospered as a castle town of the Aizu clan during the Edo period. There are many historical sightseeing spots such as Aizuwakamatsu Castle (Tsuruga Castle), Iimori-yama.
In addition, there are many restaurants where you can enjoy the local cuisine of the Aizu area, such as kozuyu, horse sashimi, and sauce katsudon, as well as souvenir shops where you can purchase traditional crafts.
