４月２６日の日曜日に、弓ヶ浜に約１５０人の地域の人々が集まり、「湊区の弓ヶ浜クリーン作戦」が行われました。

南伊豆町の湊区では、春、初夏、年末の繫忙期前にビーチクリーン「弓ヶ浜クリーン作戦」をみんなで行っています。

　On Sunday, April 26, 150 local residents gathered at Yumigahama Beach, located right in front of Kyukamura Minami-Izu.
　In the Minato district of Minami-Izu Town, where Kyukamura Minami-Izu is located, the community holds a beach cleanup event called the “Yumigahama Clean Operation” three times a year before the busy tourist season.

今回はゴールデンウイークの前ということで、参加を希望する湊区民たち、地域のライフセーバーの団体「南伊豆ライフセービングクラブ」さん、休暇村南伊豆を含めて力を合わせて弓ヶ浜を綺麗にしました。

　This time, as it was just before Golden Week, Minato district residents who wished to participate joined forces with the local lifesaving group, the Minami-Izu Lifesaving Club, as well as regional tourism operators including Kyukamura Minami-Izu.

私たちも軍手をして、熊手を片手に掃除を行いました。
海を眺めながらするクリーンはとても気持ちよかったです。

　We also put on work gloves, grabbed rakes, and jumped in to help.
Cleaning while looking out over the sea felt very refreshing.

最後にはこんなにたくさんゴミが集まりました。

　By the end, we had collected a large amount of trash.

私は初めての参加でしたが、観光業に従事する人たちと、地域の住民たち、みんな弓ヶ浜をキレイにしたい気持ちで、一つになって活動する姿がとても印象深かったです。

　It was my first time participating, and I was deeply impressed to see people working in tourism and local residents come together as one, all sharing the same desire to keep Yumigahama Beach clean.
