秋田・横手の冬を代表する伝統行事

今年、私たちは家族で秋田県横手市の横手の雪まつり（かまくら祭り）を訪れました。
子どもから大人まで心から楽しめる、特別な冬の体験となりました。

2026年より、かまくらのメイン開催日は 2月第2週の金曜日・土曜日に変更されています。今年は 2月13日（金）・14日（土）に開催され、多くの観光客でにぎわいました。
雪の中に広がる幻想的な世界

横手公園や蛇の崎川原には、大小さまざまなかまくらが立ち並び、夜になるとやわらかな灯りがともります。雪とキャンドルの光が織りなす景色は、まるで別世界のような美しさです。

約450年の歴史を持つこの伝統行事は、雪国秋田ならではの文化と温かさを感じられる貴重な機会です。

A Symbol of Winter in Akita

This year, our family visited the Yokote Snow Festival (Kamakura Matsuri) in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture. It was a memorable winter experience enjoyed by both children and adults.

Starting from 2026, the main Kamakura event is held on the second Friday and Saturday of February. This year, it took place on February 13 and 14, welcoming many visitors.
A Magical Snowy Atmosphere

Around Yokote Park and the Janosaki Riverbank, large and small snow huts line the area. At night, soft candlelight illuminates the snow, creating a magical winter landscape.

With a history of approximately 450 years, this traditional festival beautifully represents the culture and warmth of snowy Akita.

心温まるおもてなし

かまくらの中では、水神様が祀られ、子どもたちが
「入ってたんせ」「拝んでたんせ」
と優しく迎えてくれます。

甘酒やお餅をいただきながら、地域の人々との触れ合いを楽しめるのも、この祭りならではの魅力です。家族旅行にも、写真撮影にも最適なイベントです。
