Popular breakfast buffet menu item [Morning Ramen]
One of the popular dishes at the breakfast buffet at Kyukamura Urabandai is "morning ramen."
The culture of eating ramen in the morning is deeply rooted in the Kitakata region.
It is said that it originally started as people eating ramen after finishing their early morning farm work. Nowadays, the abbreviated term asara has become common in the Aizu region of Fukushima Prefecture.
Kyukamura's Asara is a salt ramen that uses mountain salt, a salt made from hot springs that is a specialty of Kitashiobara Village, in the soup. The clear, warm soup seeps into your stomach and wakes you up.
The noodles used are "high-hydration noodles," a hallmark of Kitakata ramen.
*Without "high-hydration noodles," it can't be called Kitakata ramen.
You can choose the size of a whole or half a ball. It's light, so you can easily eat just one, but please choose according to your stomach. (Of course, two balls are also OK!)
You can add condiments of your choice, such as roast pork, bamboo shoots, green onions, and seaweed, on your own.
If you come to Kyukamura Urabandai, be sure to try our "Kitakata Ramen made with mountain salt" for breakfast!
