"Autumn" is coming soon.
“Autumn” is the season when you can enjoy beautiful autumn leaves.
There are many autumn foliage spots recommended by the staff around Kyukamura Urabandai.
In this blog, we will introduce some of them.
Bishamon Swamp
It is the largest of Goshiki-numa.
You can see red waterside trees reflected on the surface of the water and Mt. Bandai at once.
There is also a rowing boat rental (for a fee), so you can look up at the autumn leaves from the surface of the water!
Nakatsugawa Valley
About 30 minutes by car from Kyukamura Urabandai via the sightseeing road "Bandai Azuma Lake Line". Urabandai's best autumn leaves spot.
If you walk along the walking path from the parking lot for about 15 minutes, you can get off near the river.
There is also a rest house next to the parking lot where you can buy snacks and souvenirs.
*The "Bandai Azuma Lake Line" was closed to traffic in the section leading from the Nakatsugawa Rest House to National Route 115 due to the heavy rain disaster last August. Passage between Urabandai (Kengamine) and Nakatsugawa Rest House (Nakatsugawa Valley) is possible.
Shirabu Pass
The middle point of the road "Nishiazuma Sky Valley" connecting Urabandai (northern shore of Lake Hibara) and Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture.
The altitude is over 1,200 meters, and the autumn leaves start in late September.
Not only can you enjoy autumn leaves, but you can also enjoy scenic spots such as Fudo Falls, Aka Falls, and Kuro Falls!
