この公園名前の由来は、夏の夕方に咲き、翌朝にはしぼんでしまう（ユウスゲ）と言う花です。一夜だけ咲くことから（一夜花）と呼ばれ、7月中旬～８月中旬にかけて、約１ヘクタールの草原を淡い黄色に彩ります。

現在では、花の名所としてだけではなく、夕日の名所星空観賞スポととしても人気があり、静かに自然を楽しみにたい方におすすめさせていただきます。南伊豆町ならではの美しい景色と、自然がはぐくんだ歴史を感じられる特別な場所です。

The name of this park comes from a flower called 'yusuge' that blooms in the summer evenings and withers by the next morning. Because it blooms for just one night, it is also called a 'one-night flower,' and from mid-July to mid-August, it colors about one hectare of grassland in a light yellow.

Nowadays, the park is popular not only as a flower-viewing spot but also as a famous spot for sunsets and stargazing. It is recommended for those who want to quietly enjoy nature. It is a special place where you can feel the beautiful scenery unique to Minami Izu Town and the history nurtured by nature.
