南伊豆の春の訪れを告げる「みなみの桜と菜の花まつり」が本日より始まりました。青野川沿いには早咲きの河津桜“みなみの桜”が少しずつ花を開き始め、淡いピンクが川面に映るたびに季節の移ろいを感じさせてくれます。一方、日野地区の菜の花畑はすでに一面が鮮やかな黄色に染まり、訪れる人々を明るく迎えてくれます。桜と菜の花が織りなす色彩のコントラストは、この時期だけの特別な景観です。会場周辺には散策路が整備され、ゆったり歩きながら春の香りを楽しめます。開花はこれからさらに進む見込みで、日ごとに表情を変える風景も魅力のひとつ。南伊豆ならではの早春の彩りを感じに、ぜひ足を運んでみてください。

The Minami Cherry Blossom and Rapeseed Flower Festival, heralding spring's arrival in Minami-Izu, commences today. Along the Aono River, the early-blooming Kawazu cherry trees known as “Minami no Sakura” are gradually unfurling their blossoms. Each time their pale pink hues reflect upon the river's surface, it serves as a poignant reminder of the changing seasons. Meanwhile, the rapeseed fields in the Hino district are already blanketed in vibrant yellow, brightly welcoming visitors. The contrasting colours woven by cherry blossoms and rapeseed flowers create a special landscape unique to this season. Walking paths have been prepared around the venue, allowing visitors to stroll leisurely while enjoying the scent of spring. The blossoms are expected to continue opening further, with the scenery changing daily being another charm. Do come and experience the unique colours of early spring in Minami-Izu.
